Our Signature Programs
Arizona Camp Sunrise
June 28-July 3, 2025
Camp is a safe place where pediatric cancer survivors and fighters get to express their emotions, challenge themselves, try new things, and create life-long friendships with others who have triumphed in the face of the same hardship. This weeklong, sleep-away camp is held at Whispering Hope Ranch in Payson, Arizona. Activities include hiking, low ropes, archery, arts and crafts, talent show and our famous Jell-O war! Registration is required.
Arizona Camp Sidekicks
June 22-27, 2025
Our programming provides a fun, safe place for siblings to bond with others with similar experiences. This weeklong, sleep-away camp is held at Whispering Hope Ranch in Payson, Arizona. Activities include hiking, horseback riding, arts and crafts, talent show and our famous Jell-O war! Registration is required.

Day Camp
Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks partners with local pediatric oncology organizations who facilitate summer day camps for children who have or had cancer & their siblings, ages 3-7.

Leaders-in-Training
Leaders-in-Training (LIT) is a comprehensive program, offered to AZCS&S teens ages 17 and 18, tailored to nurture campers’ leadership potential while fostering inclusivity. It focuses on teaching essential life skills, such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork. The program incorporates interactive training, outdoor activities, and mentorship opportunities to empower campers to become confident and effective leaders. By embracing diversity and providing support, the LIT program aims to enrich the lives of all participants, helping them develop into capable leaders who can positively impact their communities.
Year-Round Family Programs
In addition to our signature programs, Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks, the Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation hosts a variety of family-friendly events throughout the year, including carnivals, outings at sporting events, picnics and more.
