Pam Lang is a writer and an advocate for public education and disability inclusion, currently pursuing a Master’s degree at ASU. Her son, James was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was nine months old. In recovery, Camp Sunrise was one of the few places he could go to have fun and just  be a kid. We don’t  wish our kids mere existence, we want them to have a quality of life and happiness, and for one week in summer, camp is a place for fun and unconditional acceptance. Pam is grateful camp was available for her son, and is dedicated to helping ensure it will always be there for other kids facing cancer, and their families.
